On December 7, 2018, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Search for Peace (FHB Foundation) closed the Houphouët-Boigny Year by holding a conference on the theme: “Houphouetology or 33 years of existence of the history of Ivory Coast “. This lecture was animated by Mr. Rudolf EGNANKOU, director and passionate of the “Apostle of peace” in front of a large number of students and students of the city of Yamoussoukro. 5th Congress of the Association of African Historians
The 5th Congress of the Association of African Historians (AHA) took place from November 6 to 9, 2018 at the headquarters of the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research of Yamoussoukro, in collaboration with the Universities of Cocody, Bouaké , Daloa and Korhogo.
Theme: “African history and its current issues”
This Congress saw the election of Professor Aka KOUAME (Ivorian) at the head of the AHA.
Public Conference on Peace and National Reconciliation
The Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research (FHB Foundation) organized on the occasion of the National Day of Peace and as part of the Houphouët-Boigny Year, a public conference on the theme: “the peace and national reconciliation “on November 15, 2018 at its headquarters in Yamoussoukro. This lecture by Dr Raphaël YA KOMENAN, teacher-researcher, saw the participation of many students and students of the city of Yamoussoukro. It should be noted a strong delegation of activists of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI) party founded by “the Apostle of Peace”, headed by Pr. 5th Congress of the Association of African Historians
The 5th Congress of the Association of African Historians (AHA) was held from 6 to 9 November 2018 at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research in Yamoussoukro, in collaboration with the Ivorian section of the AHA and the public universities of Côte d’Ivoire. The theme of this congress, which brought together nearly 150 participants from historians from across Africa, Europe and North America, was: “African history and its current issues”.
