Professional drivers trained in the Culture of Peace, Citizenship and the Fight against Road Insecurity

The Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research organized jointly with the National Network for the Wellbeing of Drivers (RENABEC) and the Office of Road Safety (OSER) representing the Ministry of Transport, a training seminar on November 29 and 30, 2017 on the theme: “The commitment of professional drivers to the promotion of active citizenship, the culture of peace and the fight against road safety in Côte d’Ivoire”.

During this seminar, topics related to the culture of peace, civility, reconciliation, transport reform in Côte d’Ivoire and the responsibility of professional drivers for the fight against unsafe roads were discussed. .

The seminar aimed to instill in professional drivers, carriers and unions the values ​​of a culture of peace so that they learn to resolve conflicts in a non-violent manner, respectful of the laws and institutions and the code. of the road by adopting a citizen behavior.

At the end of this seminar, the professional drivers formulated peace messages and recommendations to the State of Côte d’Ivoire, the Ministry of Transport and the OSER.
