Signing ceremony of Félix Houphouët-Boigny’s book “Discours & Messages”

On October 18, 2016, the President of the Republic, HE Mr. Alassane Ouattara, presided over the signing ceremony of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny's "Speech and Messages" book at the Abidjan District Hotel. This ceremony was organized by the Fondation Félix Houphouët-Boigny for the Research of Peace (FHB Foundation), which coincided with the 111th anniversary of the birth (October 18, 1905 - October 18, 2016) of Father of the Modern Côte d'Ivoire.

This six-volume work is published by the FHB Foundation (FHB), under the supervision of its Secretary General, Pr. Jean-Noël Loucou. In his speech, the latter said that these speeches and messages covered nearly 60 years (1945-1993) of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny's political life. Speaking at this ceremony, President Alassane Ouattara initially said that this day of October 18, 2016 was a privileged opportunity to remember this great statesman who in fact became a national heritage. He then described this work as gigantic and important for every Ivorian in particular and for all Africans in general. For the Head of State, Félix Houphouët-Boigny had an ideal for Côte d'Ivoire in whose name he built a strong, united and prosperous nation; As it has transmitted to us, the values ​​of peace, fraternity, dialogue, discipline and work.

It should be noted that Prof. Maurice Kakou Guikahue, Executive Secretary of PDCI-RDA and representative of HE Henri Konan Bedie at this ceremony, delivered the message of the latter.
Following the speeches, Pr. Jean-Noel Loucou signed a copy of the book for the President of the Republic in the first place, then the personalities present and all those who acquired it last place. The ceremony ended with a cocktail hosted by the FHB Foundation.
