Subregional Workshop on Adapting and Designing Training Modules for CRECP

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research for (FHB Foundation) organized the workshop in Yamoussoukro from 19 to 22 September 2016 For the adaptation and design of training modules for use by the Regional Center for Education for Culture of Peace (CRECP).

The meeting was attended by about 15 education experts from the following Member States: Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Mali and Senegal. The workshop aimed to:

  • Develop training modules for the Center's staff,
  • Determine the general orientations and pedagogy in education for the culture of peace,
  • To define the instruments and didactic tools used to achieve the objectives of education for the values ​​of peace.

ISESCO was represented at the meeting by Ms Mariama Niang N'diaye, Program Specialist.

As a reminder, the CRECP was created under the partnership agreement signed in October 2013 between ISESCO and the Ivorian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The center, housed at the FHB Foundation, is dedicated to strengthening the learning and assimilation of the values ​​of the culture of peace through the holding of training sessions and various activities for the benefit of executives of member states French-speaking countries of ISESCO.
