The validation workshop for the feasibility study on the Pan-African School for Peace took place on June 20-21 , 2016, at our headquarters in Yamoussoukro. Placed under the patronage of the Ivorian State, it was organized by our institution in partnership with UNESCO and the African Union. The project of the Panafrican School of Peace: The progress of June 1, 2016

The project of the Panafrican School of Peace aims to meet three major expectations:

  • The involvement of Côte d'Ivoire, through the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research, in the search, preservation, maintenance and promotion of peace in Africa and in the world.
  • The creation, within the FHB Foundation, of a high-level training and research center on Peace.
  • International cooperation in the culture of peace, bringing together various partners, be they international organizations such as the African Union, UNESCO, universities or research centers.

Recovery workshop on “African Initiative for Education for Peace and Development through Religious Dialogue” organized by the Pan-African Center for Social Prospects (CPPS-IAT) on May 26-27 at the Cotonou Convention Center in Benin

Organized in Cotonou on May 26-28, 2015, the International Symposium on the launching of the African Initiative for Education for Peace and Development through Inter-religious and Intercultural Dialogue is back on the agenda. On May 26-27, 2016, a workshop was held at the Cotonou congress center to review the modalities of the official start of the second edition.

The Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research organized a training seminar for members of the Students 'Delegates' School Board (CSDE), clubs and associations of the Mixed 1 and Mixte 2 Schools of Yamoussoukro On "Education for a Culture of Peace, Non-Violence and the Rights of the Child", held on May 26, 2016 in Yamoussoukro. Teachers trained in the Culture of Peace

The Fondation Félix Houphouët-Boigny for Peace Research organized a training seminar for teachers, management and supervisory staff of the Lycée Mixte 1 in Yamoussoukro on the theme: "Education for culture Peace, Non-Violence and the Rights of the Child "held on May 25, 2016 in Yamoussoukro. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Siaka Koné, headmaster of the Yamoussoukro Mixed School 1, presented the interest and the opportunity of such an initiative and hoped that this training could benefit the teachers present.

Visit by Ambassador Bruno Joubert

On April 24, 2016 in Yamoussoukro, the Secretary-General of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research was visited by Ambassador Bruno Joubert, at the headquarters of the institution he headed. After the usual civilities, the French diplomat, accompanied by two of his collaborators, was able to discover the main tourist areas of our headquarters, including: conference rooms, exhibition space and the lounge of honor.
