Young Muslim and Christian leaders of Yamoussoukro benefited from a training seminar on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the headquarters of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research (FHB Foundation) in Yamoussoukro. This seminar which focused on peace and social cohesion was led by experts Mr. Ernest YAO KOFFI and Lucien ZAHOULI TIE BI of the illustrious institution of peace.

Like the many tours organized by the FHB Foundation in the regions and departments of Côte d’Ivoire to promote peace, civic-mindedness and social cohesion, this training aimed to equip youth leaders with adequate tools to prevent and / or manage effectively possible crises between communities. Several themes were on the agenda, including: culture of peace and commitment, management and prevention of identity-based conflicts, civics and development, hate speech and rumor management.

During this training, the experts invited the youth to be more vigilant in order to avoid the trap of rumors and to reject any hate speech opposing the communities in order to avoid conflicts that may arise between them.

At the end of the session, participants developed an operational action plan to contribute to the establishment of a climate of peace before, during and after the elections.
