Students trained in community life, leadership and the culture of peace

A training seminar was organized for members of the “Icônes de la paix” club of Nangui Abrogoua University (IP-UNA) in Abidjan, from April 16 to 18, 2019 by the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the peace research at its headquarters in Yamoussoukro. Its theme was “associative life, leadership, and a culture of peace” and allowed members of the Peace Icons to be educated on ways and means to bring a new momentum of peace to academia by developing their leadership and their ability to work as a team.

Dr. Diénéba DOUMBIA, Director of the Department for Peace Research at the FHB Foundation coordinated the whole of this seminar. During her interventions, she insisted on the importance of the insertion of the student in the academic academic system, which is decisive and significant in the quality of the training, by making a point of honor on the commitment of the student. Also, she invited all the participants to adopt and make adopt to their student friends, a behavior marked by civility and mutual respect, as well as with all the staff of the University Nangui Abrogoua.

The president of the Icônes de la paix, Mr. Drissa SORO, expressed his gratitude to the Secretary General of the FHB Foundation, Prof. Jean-Noël LOUCOU, as well as to all the staff of the institution. “We have been educated on the values ​​of democracy, non-violence, human rights, and solidarity, to which we attach particular importance,” said the president of Icônes de la Paix. He ended by asking all the participants to give a broad echo of the resolutions of this seminar.

The graduation of participation and a visit of the institution put an end to this training of three days.
