Council of Ministers of December 18, 2018

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, a Council of Ministers was held at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research (FHB Foundation) in Yamoussoukro, under the chairmanship of HE Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic. This was the last council of the year 2018. Their Excellencies Mr. Daniel KABLAN DUNCAN and Mr. Amadou GON COULIBALY, respectively Vice-President and Prime Minister, as well as all the members of the Ivorian government were present.

The agenda included:

  • general measures including bills, orders and orders,
  • individual measurements,
  • and the various.

The three major decisions taken during this meeting were:

  • the implementation of a special tax and customs regime for the construction of the University of San Pedro, aiming to mobilize additional resources for the realization of this important development project.
  • fixing the price of coffee at CFAF 700 per kilogram for the 2018-19 season.
  • and the completion of an additional 253 MW thermal power plant at Azito and a further 390 MW capacity at Jacqueville to meet national electricity demand.

At the end of this Council, the spokesman of the government, Mr. Sidi Toure, reported and answered questions from many journalists present for this purpose.
